The Last Time I Saw Archie

Drafted into the military near the end of World War II, lazy yet crafty civilian pilot Archie (Robert Mitchum) exudes the confidence of a general, which allows him to avoid annoying assignments, sneak off base with his new girlfriend and become a celebrated hero. Director Jack Webb co-stars in this comedy as Bowers, Archie’s loyal sidekick who can’t muster the same level of bravado as his best friend.
