I can’t think of a better concert film. I really can’t. Stop Making Sense? OK, really really close, but it’s not AS good… I don’t think.

I can’t say The Band are preforming at their best ability here… they do seem really worn, but it seems so honest and good and the musical guests keep it from getting boring … a lot of concert films suffer from that, I find. They lose steam. This, also, probably has the best, most intricate camera work of any concert film I can think of…
