In 2006 High School senior Jason McElwain, an autistic team manager for his school’s basketball team, had the night of his life, scoring 20 points in his team’s final home game, vaulting him to celebrity status. Three years later, two boys from high schools a mere 20 miles apart in Maine, would get the same opportunity. Film and Television star, and Autism activist Joe Mantegna narrates this inspiring story of these boys’ determination. –Mosaic Film Festival
Very, very heart warming. Brought a tear to my eye, and a smile to my face. The kind of uplifting narratives that sports can so frequently provide. Loved it.
There is always a story after the ESPN and other media outlets stop paying attention, this short piece (available on YouTube) tells how Jason McElwain's story helped others. A nice piece of a filmmaking.
