This is not your typical random special feature making-of documentary. Rather, it is Bergman inserting intertitles between uninterrupted and unnarrated shots of the filming of Fanny och Alexander. As such, it does gain a rather poetic feel, as Bergman reflects on his last 7 months in film. Also, it is a joy to see Nykvist and Bergman working after having admired their work in many other films.

Not quite as interesting as "Ingmar Bergman Makes a Movie," IMO, but it's worth it to see Sven Nykvist at work.
