I red the book before watching the movie. And once again, just like the book, the movie is telling the story of you to you, hypnotizing you, and when the finger snaps, you awake into your horrible reality. Great book and great movie. Five stars.

“It is on a day like this one, a little later, a little earlier, that you discover, without surprise, that something is wrong. That you don’t know how to live and you never will know.”

Deliriously good counterpart to the Society of the Spectacle, in a lot of ways.

A sensory experience. Feels like your teachers and parents hammering you with lectures, in a good masochistic way...

“Indifference has neither beginning nor end. It’s an immutable state; an unshakable inertia (…) Indifference dissolves language and scrambles the signs”... Distressing and strikingly beautiful film. ♥ Georges Perec ♥

Like a looping overture to a film that won’t, can’t take shape, it erases itself as it goes along. Even when the spleen vents without warning (and breathlessly), it’s just a glitch, a slight tear in the fabric. I’d compare it to Arvo Part’s Tintinnabuli composition: parallel voices echoing and converging, rhyming and doubling the same theme incessantly. One-note, but what a note!
