Wallace (Kirk Douglas) is a career criminal freshly released from the pen. To his wife’s dismay, Wallace embarks on an audacious safecracking job immediately after returning home. Also recruited to carry out a job is Marco, a trapeze artist who’s supposed to provide an alibi for Wallace. But when things go wrong, it’s Wallace who stands to lose everything … including his wife and his freedom.
