The old Hollywood, studio feel of it all actually somehow adds to the atmosphere. I really like it.
Just watched this yesterday and it's a fun 60 minutes. I assumed going in that Fay Wray would be the best part (she didn't show enough skin) but for me, Leslie Banks stole the show. God, what a CHEESE-fest. Granted, for what it was supposed to be and the resources of the time, it's rather well done. But even then, it's a bit cringe-worthy to watch.
A great adaptation of the short story with great sets and pretty good acting.
