Despite painting him as the perfect and definitive whistleblower the film escapes a sense of pandering by trying desperately hard to get to the bottom of what was going on during this incredibly tumultuous political and social time in the United States. honestly, i really liked this doc. the 360 that ellsberg made was amazing and inspirational...personally i loved the interviews with howard zinn especially ("it wasn't a democracy...")
Whille this doc may be about The Pentagon Papers, it just made me sad for a press and Supreme Court that no longer exists. http://eddieonfilm.blogspot.com/2010/07/when-press-still-made-us-proud.html
