A great movie where you can see how little one knows about their own region and it took these 2 men a crosscountry roadtrip to discover the despondent inhabitants of the rural areas. As much of an eye opener as it was back then for Ernesto, as it is now to get a glimpse of a time not that long ago. Must see for anyone from that region.
I have no doubt whatsoever that Walter Salles is going to make a great ON THE ROAD movie. Not that I had any before, but if I did, they'd be completely obliterated.
Acho que é a 3ª vez que assisto ao filme e não me canso dele. Cair na estrada, o sonho!
I was wondering the scarcity of leader nowadays, and my mate told me that this is because there is more CEO of Country instead of Leader. When the light of inspiration from leader dims, this is why it is such an enjoyment to watch again and again this accomplished film, in recounting a conjuncture Che’s facet of life, wrapped in a stunning cinematography plus a subtle bromance plot between Che and Alberto.
A revealing introduction to Che Guevara.Beautiful cinematography, appealing performances and some funny moments that have you caught up in the enthusiasm of both men. At the end of the film,I was left with the desire to visit the places that had such a profound effect on the future revolutionary.
This film was magnificent, loved the constant mentioning of Lorca and Neruda, and the script read itself in poem proses with scenes indulgent in pain and suffering, yet hope and assurance of a change. The characters capture everything that is current and nostalgic...that is the need for justice.
Is a film full of simples things but interesting. Is a a good remember of two dreamer personages. I like very much the end or outro of film, closing the story with all the personages of the trip, with nice staging and nice acustic music.
Beautifully shot by Salles and with a great performance by the ever dependable Bernal. A moving story of friendship, youth and maturity that never feels forced or phoney.
A nice example of how one can successfully make a biopic that isn't glorified and completely one-sided. I can't say that the film was a particular favorite of mine but I do have to commend it for its attempt at portraying the individual rather than a myth, which is something rare in popular films these days...
pretentious as all get out, and boring to boot...it made me want to build a time machine so i could bring che to the future and watch him cap walter salles. a must to avoid.
