Director

Alireza Davood Nejad was born in Tehran in 1953. He started his cinematic career as a scriptwriter when he was only 17 years old. He made his first film called “Jugular Vein” in 1973. Since 1977, he started to work not only as Director and Scriptwriter but also as Producer of his films. He made 17 films and won several international and national awards, among them for “The Need” at “The 3 Continents” of Nantes and also 3 awards from the Fajr Film Festival for “The Need” and “Sweet Agony”.
