"Persona"-esque rivalry between women is always entertaining. Obviously inspired by Chabrol, like many other rescent french drama-thrillers ("Swimming Pool", "Love Crime"). Chilly atmosphere and strong acting throughout.

I found it a bit more engaging than that. It tiptoes a line between threat and innocence very well, but the ending doesn't feel like it was the culmination of everything that came before it.

Still amazes me that this movie appear in so many lists and interesting video clubs. It is near the typical american thriller with little content and form. It works with the same emotions than a babysitting movie with a serial killer in a woman that looks so innocent. Good actors in a bad movie.

I watched that movie when it was the opening movie of Singapore’s French Film Festival (SFFF) in 2007. It is brilliant! Catherine Frot, as always, shows to be a wonderful actress. As for Deborah François…  read review
