Synopsis

Hallie Parker and Annie James. They look exactly alike and are sisters. It would be awesome for you to be a twin, but what is it like being a twin without even knowing it? That’s what it’s like for these girls. Hallie is a cool, laid-back gal from California. Annie James is a proper rose from London. Annie has never met her father, and Hallie has never met her mother. When they get thrown into the Isolation Cabin, they uncover the mystery behind the ripped picture. They realize that they are twin sisters seperated at birth by their divorced parents, and they decide to switch places to meet the parent that they’ve never met. They also decide to get them back together. But then something awful happens that will wreck everything: their father is engaged to a beautiful, selfish witch who’s only after their dad’s money. —IMDb

Nancy Meyers

As the screenwriter/producer (along with frequent collaborator and then-spouse Charles Shyer) of some of the best-known comedies of the 1980s and ‘90s, Nancy Meyers could, at least in part, be credited with providing screen starlet Goldie Hawn with a couple of the bubbly actress’s late-career signature roles. Later moving into directing with the popular Disney remake The Parent Trap (1998), Meyers entered into a successful new phase in her career that would yield such hit romantic comedies as What Women Want and Something’s Gotta Give.

Subsequent studies at UCLA eventually led Meyers to enter show business as an assistant director and production manager. Her keen observation of the human condition prompted Meyers to try her hand at screenwriting, resulting in scripts for such popular sitcoms as… read more

One of my favorite kids flicks from my childhood. It's a damn shame Lohan's career fell apart after the massive success of MEAN GIRLS.

This was one of my favorite movies to see when I was a kid and while growing up. I still love it and know every single line of it.

I memorized every line in this movie when I was kid. I wanted to have a twin and switch with her too. I had this long list of what she could be - rich, a tomboy, a princess, raised by thieves or eccentric writers. Back then, having a twin felt like an adventure. Needless to say, this is definitely the top of my childhood favorites.
