Well, what do ya know? Almost all of the "Related Films" are live-action dramas focusing on Afican-Americans!
it was cute & funny... i liked the dark voodoo scenes - but i prefer other Disney cartoons..!
It begins so promisingly but by the time the film begins to introduce its bevy of talking animals the film loses its way and the realism it creates early on is discarded for something far more frivolous and ultimately less substantial. The voicework is nice without being cloying and the music from Randy Newman top notch. It's far from their greatest but it's still a welcome return to form for the Disney family.
A great comeback to classic cel animation. Keep up the good work, Disney! AND GET RID OF THIS TEEN CRAP ON THE DISNEY CHANNEL!
The cutest little cartoon ever. Sweet, intense, real, deep, and a reality check,
nowadays you dont get to see many hand draw animation films. so this one has a lot going for it ... the story is fine but the character designs and direction is not very memorable or inspiring> i saw bambi bluray after it and it was just light years away, in the wrong direction for the frog> too bad, but please disney, KEEP MAKING THEM!!!!
I have to admit that for a newer disney film I was very impressed by this. It will join the ranks of the older disney classics over time as well it should.
Old fashioned Disney goodness. I was transported back to childhood. What a treat!
Good Disney film, a campy film, the usual Disney though, nothing overly spectacular.
Excepting for Louis, the trumpetist crocodile (his short flashback is great), "The Princess and The Frog" is so boring. Its lack of charisma is evident. Besides that, the fact of the lead character being black, so announced by Disney as a "step forward", does not make any difference.
I have a thing for frogs and so I’ll always be thankful for Disney’s most recent work which features those little, green creatures in the lead. The Princess And The Frog is utterly enjoyable, with lovable characters, awesome music and a heartwarming storyline, as always. Plus, there's this timeless charm that goes with 2D animation.
Among the pantheon of great Disney films like The Lion King, Fantasia, and The Rescuers Down Under (personal favorite).
