A world where zombies live normal lives amongst humans is threatened with a second outbreak when the drug that treats the infected begins running low. Kate, who works at a research center, and her boyfriend Alex, a returned, escape in an attempt to save themselves.

A highly original take on the zombie film, The Returned provides an elaborate scientific and political backdrop to its complex storyline, giving a more dignified image to the human-zombie. Although in contrast with the usual representations of the genre, it’s not short of an adrenaline rush.
