Synopsis

Rose Troche’s direction is subtle and effective at times, but it’s her screenplay that is the weak link here. Kudos to the actors, but unfortunately they can’t save this from being just another dull installment to the expanding pile of suburban tragedy films.

Garbage. Harsh yes. But there is no a honest or uncontrived moment in this film. Troche showed some early promise but this was the beginning of the end for her. And how Christine Vachon ever got entwined in this mess as a producer i'll never know. Two hours I'll never get back.
