Scotty Smalls moves to a new neighborhood with his mom and stepdad, and wants to learn to play baseball. The neighborhood baseball guru Rodriquez takes Smalls under his wing, and soon he’s part of the local baseball buddies. They fall into adventures involving baseball, treehouse sleep-ins, the desirous lifeguard at the local pool, the snooty rival ball team, and the travelling fair. Beyond the fence at the back of the sandlot menaces a legendary ball-eating dog called The Beast, and the kids inevitably must deal with him. ––IMDb
"If my dog was as ugly as you, i'd shave his butt and teach him to walk backwards." That's why it's my favorite movie cause that's my favorite part. 5 green stars for you Sandlot.
Every time it was "movie time!" in middle school, my teachers played this. I have probably seen it about 13 times? I am pretty sure I have gotten scenes of the movie mixed up with my own childhood. I never want to see this movie EVER AGAIN.
