The Search for Bridey Murphy

The mystery of Bridey Murphy begins when psychological researcher Morey Bernstein (Louis Hayward) puts a woman named Ruth Simmons (Teresa Wright) into hypnotic regression, and she vividly relates a past life in Ireland that began 150 years earlier. Once her authentic-seeming recollections are recorded, researchers try to establish whether Bridey Murphy really did exist in the time and places described by Simmons.
