Nora Moran, a young woman with a difficult and tragic past, is sentenced to die for a murder that she did not commit. She could easily reveal the truth and save her own life, if only it would not damage the lives, careers and reputations of those whom she loves. —IMDb
See, this is what I don't get about Citizen Kane. As I understand it, the film is lauded for its technical wizardry and revolutionary cinematic devices. But this film has the same elements in spades and even precedes CK in some of those respects, and yet it's schlocky experimental cinema that few if any will see and still fewer will laud. Curious.
