Synopsis

In 1630 a plague epidemic wreaks havoc upon Milan. As fear and suspicion rule over the city, two citizens are accused of having spread the disease all over town. They are found guilty after a trial that has remained grimly famous for the excessive use of torture during its proceedings. This film consists in a reading of the trial record which confronts the viewer with his/her own imagery and preconceptions about justice and disease. –Pointligneplan
