The Substance of Fire

Domineering publishing magnate Isaac Geldhart (Ron Rifkin) has never been much of a father to his three children (Timothy Hutton, Sarah Jessica Parker and Tony Goldwyn). When he refuses to publish a book written by his son’s male lover, the siblings retaliate, buying out their father’s failing company and successfully running it themselves. Isaac starts a rival business that soon falters, sending him into an emotional downward spiral.
