Synopsis

A personal portrait of the famous Bayreuth Festival at which performances by operas by Richard Wagner are presented. Herzog, involved in the Festival since 1987 as a theatrical director, also offers his services to create a documentary: he makes his way around the various sections of the production from behind the scenes: the rehearsals, the design studio, the carpentry shop. All this to watch how – what will be a magical show on stage – comes together. —Thessaloniki International Film Festival
