In the year 2000, an impenetrable wall is constructed on Belgium’s “linguistic border,” driving a wedge between the Flemish and French-speaking sides. No one’s more put out by this than the Francophile Albert, a bilingual entrepreneur who sells french fries at a takeout stand that’s been split in half. The film is part of the “2000 Seen By …” series, a collection of millennial interpretations from up-and-coming filmmakers.
