"Such a fine line between stupid and clever." Still brilliant. Still hilarious. No matter how many times I see the broken pod scene or the amp scene I still laugh. Harry Shearer's mustache alone should've been nominated for an Oscar.
Genius goes ALL THE WAY UP to 11. Reiner's did a perfect over perfect job, right here. With this film. It's flawless, it's hilarious to the point of one's sides splitting and one will need more liquids within oneself because will loose them all due to severe crying out loudness due to severe LOLs...that funny! Awesome! Love it!
Holds up very, very well. Rob Reiner's debut was this funny satirical "rocumentary" following some deluded classic rockers on an ill fated american tour. So many classic bits. My fav still has to be getting lost backstage in cleveland. Puppet Show and Spinal Tap. "... mind you it wasn't his vomit....".
"It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black." -Nigel Tufnel
Great mock-rockumentary about the grandiloquence, stupidity and poor musical taste of the supposedly British heavy metal band Spinal Tap. Displaying one hilarious sketch after another, while this trio of social misfits meander all over the u.s in their "american tour" One more thing, the lyrics of most of their songs are hysterical.
Quite possibly the funniest movie I've ever seen. I'm never not in the mood to watch this.
i'm not going to watch this now i know i love it it is just another one of the messed up things created in the eighties that made my mind the way it is today
