Also why does Mubi list this film at 1994 if Criterion lists it as 1993? I thought the two went hand in glove (the companies, not the years).

The experience of the film is surprisingly sedate, if not unfun. It's always worthwhile, at least, to watch Kieslowski work. I'm skeptical about 4 stars, though, since much of this film's meaning resides in context... However enhanced that final subject may be.

I'm not sure what to think of White. It's good, but it left me wondering what did the protagonist in the end was after. The lesson of the film, I suppose, is that anything is possible and equal potency is what matters. Still, I'm a bit puzzled by this one. Maybe it'll open up to me some day. Somehow the colour white in the film seemed less interesting to me compared to blue. Oh and I love the old lady with the bottle

The lightest of the trilogy made this a very fun one. A very well made tale of an unlucky guy's smart revenge to his ex-wife. Dark comedy with slight political satire.

In some ways, the structure of the Three Colors Trilogy reminds me of a chord progression, and White is like the weaker (at least in comparison to the other two) chord that works best as a transition to its great resolution.

I believe it to be the weakest of the three, but the final scene was perfect regardless.

Compared to the other two, this one felt like a cheap commercial. A tale of revenge (and ultimately hope) so glib and downright mediocre coming from someone as talented as Kieslowski, I was left a bit dumbfounded. Gave it 3 stars just because it's the central part of a major trilogy.

This may be the weakest film of the three, but it is still top notch, with great performances and an equal dose of humor and humanity. The life-affirming ice skating scene alone is worth seeing.

Really disappointed by this one.Started off good but by the time he gets to Poland it falls apart. Just becomes a mediocre comedy with nothing to great to say.

I prefer this than the other two colors, because it offers you a spectrum on where to delve your emotions or beliefs. Unlike the other two colors, the focus is more on the 'self' and how it nurtures within its own nature, it's searching for self-fulfillment from the beginning to the end, where you want to escape but you just can't, more like the feeling when you are watching the 'traffic' scene in Godard's Week End.

I like it, but I feel it's the weakest in the trilogy.

Hilarious deadpan comedy. I don't understand the somewhat dismissive reception at all.

I found this to be the best of the three, so dark and depressing, yet so very intriguing.

Master storytelling. Perfect blend of feel-good vengeance, dark humor, and melancholy. Kieslowski makes films that are both epic and subtle, it's uncanny.
