Synopsis

Eli (Oded Kotler) is an Israeli college student who is asked by his former flame Noa (Judith Soleh) to take care of her three-year-old son Zvi (Illy Gorlitzky). He is not sure if he is the father of Zvi’s son, and he develops a love/hate relationship towards the boy. Eli leaves the boy in several perilous situations before rescuing him from all but a snake who bites the boy while he is asleep. The film includes two erotic love scenes of Eli and various lovers, but the psychological drama is left unresolved. The feature appeared in competition at the 1967 Cannes Film Festival, with Kotler winning the top prize for “Best Male Actor.”
