Time of Desire

Focusing on Lilly and Ragni, the young daughters of a widowed horse dealer coming of age in the 19th century, this provocative tale celebrates a love between siblings that goes far beyond familial devotion. But despite its potentially incendiary (and exploitative) theme of lesbian incest, this story of Sapphic sisters embodies a surprising sensibility of innocence and grace.
