I liked a lot the shorts, my favorite segments being Youssef Chahine, Oliver Assayas, Roman Polanski, Claude Lelouch and Innaritu's. I don't like Egoyan's because it was promoting bad behavior, thankfully Lars von Trier was there to correct it.
My favorite shors were from these directors: Manoel de Oliveira, Chen Kaige, Nanni Moretti, Cronenberg, Wim Wenders, Claude Lelouch, Walter Salles and Zhang Yimou. My least faborite were the shorts directed by Assayas, the brothers Dardenne, Egoyan and Amos Gitai.
Polanski's short was the only reason to waste those two hours. I find it pretty amusing, cause the finest short consists of a message camouflaged as masturbation, while the rest of them do almost the same thing, only that another way around (but hell, maybe *that* is the point of cinema, beats me :)).
I enjoyed a good 70% of the total and my cinephilia is quite pleased. It could be a good idea to see this movie in different sessions so that you don't get bored and can appreciate every single part.
I only liked Roman Polanski and Lars Von Tier's. The only two that got a reaction out of me. All the other film makers failed at being creative.
Wonderful. I like theater seats.. in this film (shorts) turn out to be hundred of them .. there are many things to see, to deal, another reason to be in love of Wong Kar Wai.. I adore this shoes.
