Synopsis

In Tokyo, at the Tsukiji market, selling tuna fish is an event every day. This film/documentary mixes painting, sculpture and comic opera. This is an enigmatic world.

This piece was originally screened as part of an Hors Piste audio-visual installation in the Centre Pompidou, Paris.

Very visually interesting - I was left wanting more. I did not realize just how big those fish are until you see them next to the workers.

A brief, visually and aurally compelling picture whose message could be interpreted in many ways, due in part to an absence of dialogue. The strongest feeling I have coming away from this is fear, because we're overfishing our oceans. And I eat a lot of tuna.
