easy. everything after wall-e gets off earth is terrible.
It goes without saying that WALL-E is a masterpiece, but I feel it should have run with the spacy feel, for lack of a better word, rather than devolving into a more conventional family film
Another Pixar movie that starts really well, and then falls into weird, overlong chase sequences and screechiness.
I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic-dystopian-themed films and "WALL-E" is the first one I've seen that can serve the forecast of a grim future in a packaging 'appropriate' for all ages. In addition to the typical cleverness and great CGI that have come to be Pixar's hallmark, "WALL-E" provides insightful ponderings on western consumerism and the relationship of man and machine as entertainment for the whole family.
Com um personagem carismático, romântico e cheio de emotividade, a Pixar prova que, mais que um grupo pioneiro de técnicos, é também uma casa de autores visionários.
A modern sci-fi fantasy masterpiece, with some of the sharpest satire on consumerism and greed in recent memory. Finally, a kid's environmental film that doesn't try to show a sugar-coated version of our future, instead giving us a grim, desolate, abandoned wasteland completely covered in trash, a big risk for children's movies these days. Also has a likeable lead, some neat looking robots and incredible animation.
like what everyone seems to say the first half is the only part I cared about.
Mais um grande filme que saiu da imaginação dos senhores da Pixar e Disney. Uma história com moral e preocupações atuais.
I owe to this film. "Wall-E" came at a moment in my life when all the films I watched served the only purpose of increasing my cultural capital; I didn't enjoyed all those films, but at least I've had seen them, so I had the knowledge necessary to brag with my cinephile friends. It was my hipster phase. This little robot reminded me why we go to the movies, and why I love cinema.
I was never emotionally connected to the human characters in this film. It presents a lot of themes and ideas, but it doesn't really say anything new with them. Of course there's the, "for a animated film" argument, but that's such a lame excuse. The first 30 or so minutes are fun though and they make the film worthy enough of three stars.
Over hyped. Generic Disney/Pixar film with too much money thrown at it and too many fast food chain toys of it.
Does anybody else find this film little more than brainwashing? Even if it's for a "good cause," it's still creepy.
imagine a live action movie where a man tied christmas lights round an unconscious woman and then dragged her around on 'dates'.
This movie is a triumph, and agree with the many people that the first half in particular is outstanding. For those worried about the non dialogue with children all I can say give them credit they will love it and be in tune with the emotion and humour even without a zany character explaining it to them. Go see this movie!
