Synopsis

Finances are tight at West Wallaby Street and Wallace is forced to take in a lodger. Unfortunately, the successful applicant is a penguin with attitude who turns out to be the notorious criminal, Feathers McGraw. When McGraw adapts one of Wallace’s inventions (an automated pair of ‘Techno Trousers’) and forces him to steal a priceless diamond, Gromit comes to the rescue. The finale sees a rip-roaring train chase through Wallace and Gromit’s house, as the famous duo attempt to bring down Feathers once and for all. –Official Site

Nicholas Wulstan “Nick” Park, CBE (born 6 December 1958) is an English filmmaker of stop motion animation best known as the creator of Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep. He was nominated for the 2010 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film but lost out to Logorama. He has been nominated for an Oscar a total of six times, and won four.

He also took after his father, an amateur inventor, and would send items – such as a bottle that squeezed out different coloured wools – to Blue Peter.. He studied Communication Arts at Sheffield Polytechnic (now Sheffield Hallam University) and then went to the National… read more

The train chase is one of the single best scenes in any stop-motion animated sequence ever.

Sublime brilliance from Aardman Animations in which genius creations Wallace & Gromit are plunged into a hilarious tale of skullduggery and derring-do involving a mechanical pair of trousers and a villainous lodger penguin. Our modelling clay heroes are unwitting accomplices in a dastardly plot to steal a diamond from the local museum.. Easily my favourite Wallace & Gromit short film and quite possibly a masterpiece.

One of the best shorts by Nick Park that gives us suspense and a memorable villain with no romantic struggles to get in the way. Just pure fun and chaos.
