Synopsis

Finances are tight at West Wallaby Street and Wallace is forced to take in a lodger. Unfortunately, the successful applicant is a penguin with attitude who turns out to be the notorious criminal, Feathers McGraw. When McGraw adapts one of Wallace’s inventions (an automated pair of ‘Techno Trousers’) and forces him to steal a priceless diamond, Gromit comes to the rescue. The finale sees a rip-roaring train chase through Wallace and Gromit’s house, as the famous duo attempt to bring down Feathers once and for all. –Official Site

Nicholas Wulstan “Nick” Park, CBE (born 6 December 1958) is an English filmmaker of stop motion animation best known as the creator of Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep. He was nominated for the 2010 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film but lost out to Logorama. He has been nominated for an Oscar a total of six times, and won four.

He also took after his father, an amateur inventor, and would send items – such as a bottle that squeezed out different coloured wools – to Blue Peter.. He studied Communication Arts at Sheffield Polytechnic (now Sheffield Hallam University) and then went to the National… read more

One of the best shorts by Nick Park that gives us suspense and a memorable villain with no romantic struggles to get in the way. Just pure fun and chaos.

Probably my favourite in the Wallace & Gromit series. Absolutely funny, but Nick Park also gives it a very classic feeling in both tone and cinematography.

The best of the first three Wallace & Gromit shorts. It is endearing, funny and clever. While the first short suffered from not having a "real" problem; and the antagonist from the third was not interesting, this one gives us Feathers McGruff, an intriguing and cold blooded penguin that makes a worthy adversary to Gromit. An exhilarating chase scene and superb stop motion animation makes this one wonderful.

A plasticene gem; second only to a slice of Wensleydale.
