In this big screen spin-off of the Saturday Night Live skit, two small-town cable TV hosts and best friends, Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey), spend their days and nights chasing babes (schwing!) and refusing to budge from their long-haired, head-banging lifestyle. Ably capturing a love of rock music and the goofiness and exuberance of youth, director Penelope Spheeris (The Decline of Western Civilization Parts documentary series) brings a natural sense of fun and abandon to the film. (The car scene featuring Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody alone is a comedy classic.) Wayne’s World features appearances by Rob Lowe, Chris Farley, rockers Meat Loaf and Alice Cooper, and others.
could've been worse, the bohemian rhapsody scene is just about as much as I could remember from the whole thing. I would only recommend it to certain people though....but I "fan" it just the same :)
Since Myers did the awful "Love Guru," and Carvey did the dreadful "Master of Disguise," both should seek redemption in "Wayne's World 3."
