In a futuristic prison where pairs of inmates are literally bound together by an electronic device that prevents them from getting more than 100 yards apart from each other, Frank Warren and Tracy Little risk their lives to escape. With their eyes on a valuable cache of stolen diamonds, the “wedlocked” fugitives work together to elude the cops and members of Frank’s former gang. But if one strays too far from the other, they’ll both die.
I didn't realise so many movies before Battle Royale had the idea of a neck bracelet to keep prisoners from escaping thus keeping them under control. The movie is not surprising the least, and you can pretty much predict what's going to happen next and most likely get it right. But that's not to take anything away from the flick, it's very enjoyable and as a Rutger Hauer fan I loved each minute of it.
