When notorious criminal Jacob Sternwood is forced to return to London, it gives detective Max Lewinsky one last chance to take down the man he’s always been after. —IMDb
Not good by any stretch. Awfully underwritten characters. Still, I was mildly entertained.
Thin on story but thick on Michael Mann style of filming. You don't really get a sense of who these characters are or why they are doing what they are doing, in fact the movie doesn't do a lot of explaining or so I felt. McAvoy and Strong are both decent in this flick but given the source material they can't do much with their characters. Stylish, nice shoot out scenes and some decent action make this movie.
By far not good enough to be a quality thriller, but not quite bad enough for me to feel like I've wasted my time with it. Features some great performances, a nice soundtrack and is visually quite attractive. However, the plot feels too messy, confusing and towards the end proves to be pretty much empty - a terrible anticlimax.
