Andy Lau seemed to be vastly more comfortable in the role than Mel Gibson and it's always a treat to see Gong Li in contemporary clothing.

Quite honestly, Gong Li was the only reason why I decided to watch this. It's enjoyable, as much as a romantic comedy can be. I suppose it keeps the same spirit of the original, so it's not completely original. It's funny at parts, but I feel that it could have been better, or at least have more Gong Li doing incredible things.
