Pretty impressive to track Polanski's progress as a filmmaker from "Murder" to "When Angels Fall". In only a couple of years with minimal experience he was able to elevate his craft. I wish I could have been apart of this film school during this era, where special people were emerging as great filmmakers without having to hammer themselves with experience.

Interesting. I like it that it is wordless, though there are some parts that i would definetely not miss in it. But in the end, it is a sad and beautiful fable. You can watch it here http://dai.ly/cT35qY

Artistically pretentious? really? Moving images with a great concept was more on the lines I was thinking, but that's just me.

The first in color and non-linear storyline, hence the most artistically pretentious among Roman Polanski's short films, and he had to make it that way, because this was his graduation thesis.
