The story of “The Rumble in The Jungle”, or of the legendary fight between Muhammad Ali, and George Foreman is a classic. Director Leon Gast spent near twenty years editing this film. During the film, we get a personal insight on the thoughts of Ali, and Ali as a person.
He had strong political stances, and never even acknowledged the possibility of losing a fight. Against him, is George Foreman. The young, angry heavyweight who’s ready to knock anyone (or anything) down. We also get to hear legendary soul singer James Brown talk a bit during the film.
But it’s hard to ignore the cinematography. Ali really wins our hearts by just being himself. He truly was an American Hero.
