A documentary about a film director and pedagogue Henrikas Šablevičius by Ramūnas Greičius. The way H.Šablevičius saw the world and the people was always surprising. Undoubtedly, the world, showed in his films, changes so quickly and hardly identifiably: the last narrow-gauge is wrecking, in the cold evenings of winter children watch television instead of wooden toys’ plays, and uneducated women, calling themselves witches, make their own TV shows… the entropy of the world worshiped by Šablevičius… obvious and perhaps irresistible. However, the world in Šoblė’s (everybody used to call him this way) films remained similar to director’s vision: full of everyday’s poetry lying in people, in simple things they do and in elegiac landscapes of Lithuania. And that is the reason why his films have already become a part of everybody’s personal and cultural experience. And that is why they are not decaying in archives”. —Živilė Pipinytė
