Hoping to earn the financial backing of a local count with deep pockets (Gino Cervi), struggling musician Enrico Belli (Armando Francioli) employs a beautiful courtesan (Nadia Gray) to pose as his wife and entice the potential investor. Directed by Mario Camerini (Ulysses), this romantic comedy co-starring Gina Lollobrigida was later remade by legendary director Billy Wilder as the Dean Martin and Kim Novak classic Kiss Me, Stupid.
