A depressed, bankrupt man is victim of a scam in Kenya. He then has to fly to Nairobi with Leyla, a young translator, to recover the money he should have invested in an urgent operation for his wife. Whilst in Africa he transforms from the depressive man he was, and, with nothing left to lose, he can indulge in his love of singing and wants to stay in Africa. But first, he tries to ensure that his family back home are well-provided. —BFI
