I didn't get it and I'd like someone to explain it to me...
Hilariously witty and dark story of two unemployed actors who 'mistakenly' take a trip to the countryside.
i watched this twice. the second time i was stoned and it was still so fucking funny and adorable.
The frustrations of an entire decade acted out by personal ones, a witty and dark descent into painful but necessary awareness. The characters are the strengths and their reactions are perfect and full of depth while on the outside chaos reigns. "I'm making time."
This evening during a break from editing the 3rd instalment of my cinematographic series Live!, I condoled myself with these nutters in the absence of all thrills New York City fails to sprout for me. I simply had a good laugh. Bit of North London antics. We mix misery and humour and toast to it!
Surprisingly-hilarious film. In other news, Richard Grant looks a lot like Richard Hell...
i really didn't like this movie while i was watching it, but by the last five minutes i totally understood it and it was absolutely awesome and beautiful. i love this movie.
This movie is lots of fun, since many people have been in this situation: living gloriously and artfully in self-imposed poverty. More fun; you can spot many British character actors who went on to do better things.
Something of a pisshead's Almanac. Overly talkative and perfunctorily filmed, but full of rich dialogue, daft scenarios and a heightened relish for the joys of the gutter.
I will never have enough of this film, every time I watch it I cry with laughter, having watched it more times than I care to say, Excellent cast and very good story line (if you had a few)!!!
One of the best by Handmade Films. Not a perfect movie, but its oddly funny and Richard E. Grant is great in it.
Considering I watched this by myself and nearly died laughing during the chicken scene, it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Also brilliantly acted and written.
Memorable,Witty&Hilarious. Almost all of the lines are quotable. such great performances either. Nething to say but, Chin..chin!
