How you can get Michael Cera, Jack Black, David Cross and Judd Apatow involved in a comedy vehicle and then have it turn out to be such an absolute fucking disaster boggles the mind.

a mix between funny and awful, enough laughs to barely give 3 stars. superbad however is terrific.

Not nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be. It's nothing special, and something of a disappointment coming from director Harold Ramis. But Black and Cera are fun, and a great supporting cast - including hilarious turns by Hank Azaria and Oliver Platt, in particular - keep things moving through the hit-or-miss jokes. Serviceable goofy entertainment that doesn't deserve the hatred that's been heaped on it.

I liked the scene where he challenges the village for the forbidden fruit and stuff, but everything else was horrible
