Don’t You Have Docs? a monthly screening program and Mubi project of short doc’s, curated around a theme or a style. We have partnered up with the wonderful people at Mubi to collect some of the most interesting short doc’s available through Mubi Garage.
This, not only allows us to see some great work, but also gives a new platform to short documentaries which often, after making their way to a festival or two, go back to collect dust on their filmmakers’ trophy shelf. We, the people of Don’t You Have Headphones?, have a few of these short documentaries ourselves. We love making them and we love watching them.
We hope this platform gives audiences and filmmakers alike a chance to analyse and critique the works of emerging documentarians in both online and real-world contexts. The program is curated from films on the Mubi Garage by both ourselves and guest curators. A new selection of films will be added here each month.
Once films are selected, screenings can be organised by anyone in any city anywhere – all you need is access to a venue. If you would like to find out about screenings in your city please get in touch with us at dontyouhaveheadphones.com.
Program screening in Melbourne at Loop Bar.
