Earlier this year, a brave group of filmmakers from around the country gathered in the wilds of Northern Maine to shoot a film. Seven days later, they emerged—smelly and wet and cold—with a feature-length dramatic thriller about a fishing trip gone horribly wrong.
Rather than start with a teaser or a trailer, we thought it’d be interesting to release a rough cut of a scene. Naturally, there’s no context, but in a way that almost makes it more interesting.
Now for the technical stuff:
We shot on the 7D. We raised a little over $4k on Kickstarter. It rained every day. It was also sunny every day. Often at the same time.
Oh, and we angered some bear hunters. Apparently we were filming around where they set up a bunch of bait. Luckily, no one got shot.
