00s Decade Wrap-Up
By: Bill C
Silly but fun. I’m not sure if those words would describe any of my favorite films – HAPPY-GO-LUCKY is both silly and fun, but hardly a frothy good time like, say, HIS GIRL FRIDAY. Whatevs, these movies make me tingle.
It’s all relative to me and I could list a bunch more that keep floating into my memory: BAD EDUCATION, FAR FROM HEAVEN, MUHOLLAND DRIVE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, FEMME FATALE, MARIE ANTOINETTE, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, IN THE CITY OF SYLVIA, THE SON, CRIMSON GOLD, THE WORLD, MIAMI VICE, CAPTURING THE FRIEDMANS, TALK TO HER, BEFORE SUNSET, CITY OF LIFE AND DEATH, BRIGHT STAR, THE DEATH OF MR. LAZARESCU, THE HURT LOCKER, WERCKMEISTER HARMONIES, RACHEL GETTING MARRIED, GRAN TORINO, MILLION DOLLAR BABY…
You get the idea.
P.S. Part 1 of THE BEST OF YOUTH stands in for both halves of one terribly moving achievement.
