100 Best Foreign Films of the 2000s

Here ya go list queens. First 30 are more or less ranked, then it starts to get a little hazy. Sure I forgot dozens of great films, and still can’t reconcile with myself if Collosal Youth is a tremendous bore or some brand of super cinema that is greater than you or me (if I’m questioning it then, yeah, its probably the latter).

Probably not that different from a straight up best of the decade list, really only lamenting the exclusion of such American classics Mulholland Drive, The Prestige and The New World. Lets just call it my crafty way of avoiding accusations of elitist snobbery.

Didn’t go the full hundred because Auteurs wouldn’t let me include these quality films (the first two are in the top twenty easy):
Harmful Insect
Raja
The Hidden Blade
Tony Manero
Devils on the Doorstep
Forest for the Trees
The Free Will
