1960: I doubt that there has been any other year in which cinema has produced so many important films and masterpieces. It was the year the world hit New Wave: cinema was squeezed enough for so may new ideas and techniques in every major film industry of the world. 1960 was also the year of many important events like the last film of Fritz Lang or the debut of Jean-Luc Godard. So much that this list may never be finished.
