30 Great Films

The thirty greatest films I’ve seen. This is not quite a favourites list, although obviously a lot of these films would land there as well. But a favourites list for me, for example, would certainly include The Old Dark House, which is not quite a filmic masterpiece, and The Room, which is most certainly awful. So this list is instead a list of thirty films that are unquestionably cinematically sophisticated works, although of course my choices have been influenced by my own taste.
