A genius in youth
By: Malik
A list of directors who were young and came out the gates swinging with great-classic films. Feel free to suggest anyone.
The only criteria is the vague definition of great (as in the particular film, not necessarily their entire filmography), the fact that the directors must be young, and I’m restricting it to just debut films currently. No one over the age of 29 please (there are certain exceptions like delayed film releases or if a birthday has passed right before release). I will probably lean towards feature length debuts for the most part. There will exceptions for those that either died young, had a short film(s) that was incredible well received, or special cases like Manoel de Oliveira who have a career transcending nearly the entirety of cinema.
