ah thanks, i've not seen it- i may include, certainly if i see and like it, or if others think it essential, but don't want to include everything that fits, rather the most notable films.

Metropolis fits the bill more than....Gran Torino (and I'm not biased, hehe), a superb recommendation for you Kenji is The Shepherds of Calamity which takes places on Easter. El Topo is also another idea?

I´ve now seen the first part of Jacques Rivette´s "Joan the Maid". It´s one of the most wonderful films depicting religious belief I´ve seen so far. I´m very much looking forward to watch "The Prisons".
