Actors with Style

Not all actors have style. I think there are actors that are cool but don’t necessarily seem like they have a “presence” for style. But what is it that makes an actor have style? Is it the talent? I don’t think anyone will accuse George C Scott of being stylish. Marlon Brando is more of a force of nature. I think it as something to do with charisma. Its also a certain effortlessness in the actor’s way of doing things.

Post Script. My wife thinks I should have added Paul Newman to the list. Its true that he’s incredibly cool. He’s charismatic and has the effortlessness about him. But for some reason, he seems like he’s in a different sort of category from these guys. Not better or worse, just different.
